Support the OTR Engineering and Service teams in correct application and operations of Grid Automation Products.
Conduct customer trainings to help customers in the application and the operation of the Grid Automation products and services.
Provision of technical support to internal and external customers on the complete range of Grid Automation Products (focused on Digital Control System, network management, cybersecurity, etc) both by remotely and face to face meetings. The role will consist of both office-based responsibilities and visits to customer sites.
Execute the review, analysis and resolution of assigned customer application enquiries using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / deadline requirements. Including homologation activities and FAT support.
Capture market intelligence for future developments.
Assist the Commercial/Sales organisation in ensuring the best technical solution, promotion of products, presentations and assistance during technical negotiations as well as completing formal tenders for Grid Automation products/solutions in line with customer specifications.
Conduct Grid Automation portfolio trainings to internal employees.

Cybersecurity experience. In OT environments preferably.
Effective problem identification and solution skills.
Working knowledge of Substation Protection, Substation Automation and RTUs and be able to assist the customers in the selection and implementation of the best GE solution for their applications.
Knowledge of Digital Substations and software defined solutions.
Able to travel both in country and overseas.
Degree in Electrical / Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science.
Ability to work on multiple enquiries simultaneously.
Commercial Acumen.
Advanced Substation Control System Applications Knowledge within Transmission & Distribution segment.
Experience with IEC 61850 based Substation Automation solutions is highly desirable.
Experience with Network protocols, HMI systems, and software packages are highly desirable.
Advanced and demonstrated years of experience in a customer facing engineering position.
Languages – English (duties require writing and verbal communication with customers)
