Plan, procure and manage the component inventory for all required engineering projects and builds.
Coordinate proof-of-concept builds and provide feedback to the engineering team related to installation difficulties, print accuracy, and design recommendations. Complete End of Line Tests (EOLT) on samples: functional, safety, electrical, performance, etc.
Oversee and ensure updates are completed on to the necessary CAD files.
Solicit and monitor feedback from production and the field and initiate product improvements when appropriate.
Provide technical assistance to the engineering team.
Read complex engineering prints during proof of concept builds and red-line with updates for future builds.
Identify solutions to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness of assembly.
Work closely with cross-functional departments and the manufacturing plant to ensure new models are delivered on time and meet all customer requirements.
Train others as determined by management in design for assembly.
