We are seeking a Certification Center Officer for SGS in the UAE. The role is responsible for ensuring the correct and timely issuance of Certificates of Conformity (CoC) while meeting the productivity and quality targets of the Certification Center. Core duties include assessing product and exporter risk levels, identifying essential requirements and applicable standards, and providing technical opinions on product classification and certification.
The officer will also assist in resolving classification and certification cases and respond to inquiries by applying technical expertise on specific goods or commodities. This requires a solid understanding of conformity assessment processes, business rules, and relevant reference documents.
Candidates must hold a university degree, preferably a Bachelor’s in Electrical engineering, and possess either two years of experience in conformity assessment or four years in testing, calibration, inspection, or audit. Additional knowledge of product design, manufacturing, testing, research, specifications, and industrial standardization (ISO, IEC, EN, ANSI, ASTM) as well as quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and ISO/TS 16949 is required.
