What you would be doing

Ensure strict adherence to HSE procedures and site permit-to-work systems.
Execute commissioning procedures, punch list clearing and sign-off processes.
Assist in the pre-commissioning and commissioning of telecom systems, including:
Work closely with vendors, subcontractors and other disciplines during the Pre-commissioning and Commissioning phases.
Support handover of commissioned systems to client.
Troubleshoot and rectify technical issues identified during Pre-commissioning & Commissioning process.
Assist in commissioning documentation preparation including test sheets, checklists and Risk Assessment.
Participate in Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and integration tests for various telecom systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
Complete and maintain test records, inspection reports and handover documentation.
Perform loop checks, continuity tests, insulation resistance measurements and functionality tests on all telecom field devices and building installations to ensure proper operation and compliance with project specifications.
Report progress, issues and completion status to the Telecom Supervisor / Engineer.

Ability to read and interpret Block Diagrams, wiring diagrams, data sheets, system architecture & interconnection drawings and OTDR test reports.

Use and be familiar with various test equipment such as OTDR, Fiber Optic Power Meter, Impedance Meter, Insulation Resistance Tester, Cable Analyzer, Sound Level Meter, RF Power Meter, Multimeter, Tone Generator and RF Signal Generators to verify system performance and perform troubleshooting.
Structured Cabling Systems
Problem-Solving Ability:
Possession of valid BICSI Installer/Technician certification and Fiber Optic Technician certifications will be considered an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom commissioning in the oil & gas industry.
Familiarity with ADNOC Work Management System (WMS).
CCNA or equivalent certification in telecom/networking.
