  • Taking full ownership of installation projects from planning to completion.
  • Travelling to UK sites as needed for installs, upgrades, and system checks.
  • Diagnosing technical issues on-site and getting things back up and running fast.
  • Installing and commissioning telematics units on a varied fleet of vehicles and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining systems to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Monitoring performance and alerts through the Targa Telematics platform.
  • Keeping accurate logs of installations, inspections, and maintenance.

We’re looking for a skilled Telematics Technician to join our engineering team and take ownership of installing, maintaining, and supporting the smart systems powering our ground support and plant equipment across the UK.

  • A good grasp of telematics, GPS, and automotive electrical systems.
  • Solid hands-on experience in electronics, auto-electrical, or a similar technical trade.
  • BTEC HNC Diploma or City & Guilds LGV Level 3.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Working safely and in line with airport regulations and company standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001).
  • Level 3 qualification in Auto Electrical or Mobile Electrical Principles.
  • A methodical, problem-solving mindset
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Confidence reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.
