Provide final reports which summarize the overall project including timelines while ensuring power quality, system adequacy, system reliability, system compatibility and compliant work execution;
Validate generator application documentation and determine the impact of renewable generation under various loading conditions by using CYMDIST software;
Complete protection and control design on operating ranges for generators, network upgrade requirements (conductor upgrade), protection upgrades (DGEO, Directional and Breaker failure protection), metering requirements (bi-directional metering);
Perform grounding studies and prepare related reports, including protection coordination studies, short circuit calculations, relay settings, CT saturation checks, AC/DC load studies, etc.;
Prepare necessary estimates, drafting implementation schedules, reviewing and certifying Form B, following up on execution of CCRA and support to both internal and external stakeholders;
Offer customer support and problem resolution with respect to the associated project, product, process, and quality system.
Provide support for the preparation of estimates and proposals for the bids prepared by Energy department;
Analyzing the impact of renewable generation or customer’s generations on utility distribution system by Connection Impact Assessments (CIA);
Perform quality assurance (QA) checks on engineering packages and documents;
Complete station and distribution system modelling, and translate the system information such as station transformers data and arrangement, feeder arrangement and conductor sizes, impedances, bus and feeder protections (relays, breakers, fuses), generator data and more with the associated software;

Bachelor degree in Electrical engineering with 3-5 years of relevant distribution planning and analysis experience either with an electric utility or with an electric utility consulting company;
Experience and skills in the areas of: Distribution protection, settings and logic diagrams;
Experience with generator connection impact assessment and ability to perform power system load flow, load allocation, fault analysis, short circuit studies, voltage sag, load balancing, capacitor placement and sizing, motor rating, batch analysis etc.;
Experience with CYMEDIST Software;
Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license is an asset.
Conduct power system simulations experience with CYMDIST on power flows, short circuit studies, voltage stability, transient stability, fault contribution and protection coordination;
Experience with ETAP, PSS/E, EMTP, ASPEN, Siemen’s CAPE, or PSCAD (optional);
Must possess strong written, interpersonal and presentation communication skills;
Experience with distribution planning, distributed energy resource (DER) interconnection impact, arc flash, micro grid analysis, and protection coordination;
