The Contractor Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing onsite contractor activities within an industrial facility in Savannah, GA. This full-time, long‑term role ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include managing the relationship between plant teams and third‑party contractors, scheduling work based on operational priorities, verifying qualifications and documentation, and coordinating site access, permits, and orientations. The coordinator also ensures contractor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations through safety briefings, job hazard analyses, and monitoring of unsafe behaviors, while maintaining accurate records of permits and incidents.
The role requires a high school diploma (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred) and at least five years of industrial experience, preferably with contractor coordination or supervision. Candidates must possess strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, the ability to read technical drawings and P&IDs, excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with CMMS systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office. Physical capabilities include walking long distances, climbing ladders, working around heavy machinery, and wearing required PPE.
