We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to be part of the Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) Team to help design, develop, integrate and test our space vehicle programs. Be part of a fast-paced team, that rapidly and affordably designs, develops and demonstrates cutting edge advancements in thorough and in some areas automated test capabilities. Our Team is seeking motivated self-starter type personnel to take on a multitude of different activities to drive integration and test to the forefront of our development process. If you would like to help develop our integration and test engineering activities and enjoy working on a Team to discover solutions to difficult engineering problems you will find work at Black Ve exciting and challenging. As a member of the AI&T Team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that will shape the future of national security space. You will be required to work within a small and agile team on a broad set of tasks and ensure the highest quality product through all phases of the space element design, build, test and operations. You will be part of building a culture in our AI&T Team that that rewards experienced application of proven approaches and risk management techniques to enable mission success. Personal ownership and accountability within the AI&T Team is aligned with the necessary responsibilities to be successful within the company.

This position may include access to technology and/or data that is subject to U.S. export controls pursuant to ITAR and EAR. To comply with federal export controls, all persons hired must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylee as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(A)(3), or must otherwise be eligible to obtain the required authorization from the U.S. Department of State and/or U.S. Department of Commerce as applicable.

This position is based in Albuquerque, NM, with occasional travel to other company locations, partner facilities or launch sites as needed.

  • Experience with standard lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, thermocouples/temp sensors.
  • Ability to effectively communicate professionally in writing or verbally with all levels of personnel.
  • Experience with qualification and acceptance testing of hardware products
  • Experience with test planning, automated test equipment, test procedures and data acquisition.
  • Experience with any of the following: Epsilon3, Labview, Matlab, Python, Altium, SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
  • Proven ability to create test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field – OR - 8 to 15 years of related experience AI&T engineering or operations, including full program life cycle from proposal to project close out.
  • Experience with control of sensitive and confidential information as required by company standards.
  • Experience with launch campaign planning, logistics and participation.
  • Hold current or have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level.
  • Experience working in cleanroom environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software integration problems.
  • Environmental testing experience for harsh environments such as vibration, shock, TVAC, EMI/EMC.
