The Project Order Engineering Specialist oversees the technical execution of project orders ranging from basic to high‑value, complex assemblies, including standard, assembled‑to‑order, and engineered‑to‑order equipment. Acting as a customer advocate, the specialist leads resolution of complex project issues while maintaining communication with project managers, plants, field sales, and the assigned customer base.
Key responsibilities include maintaining drawing and production schedules, ensuring specification and documentation compliance, and addressing technical concerns to guarantee on‑time and accurate delivery. The role collaborates with the technical document‑control specialist to meet documentation deadlines, works with post‑sales specialists on warranty and damage resolutions, and coordinates internal and external technical communications with contractors, distributors, consulting engineers, and OEMs.
Candidates must hold a university degree or college diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related technologist discipline) from an accredited institution, possess at least five years of experience on large, complex electrical projects, and be legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship. Required credentials include a Professional Engineering licence (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation, PMP certification, and bilingual proficiency in English and French, along with strong technical knowledge of industrial and construction products and Power Engineered Products.
