The Plastic Manufacturing Technician is responsible for packaging, labeling, and visual quality inspection of all products produced on their assigned production line. The role also assists Line Operators with line start‑ups, shutdowns, and tooling changeovers, closely partnering with them to meet established production goals.
This position requires flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends as needed, and emphasizes a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Technicians must consistently use personal protective equipment and practice facility housekeeping while staying current on pipe specifications and packaging requirements.
Candidates should be self‑motivated, capable of independent work, energetic in a fast‑paced environment, dependable, and team‑oriented. Basic mathematical skills and the ability to learn new skills are essential, and prior industrial or manufacturing experience is preferred.
Physical demands include extended periods of labor in fluctuating temperatures, requiring full range of motion such as twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and the ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment. Employees must stand and remain mobile throughout an 8‑12‑hour shift and handle finished goods using hands, arms, and legs.
Compensation ranges from $17.20 to $21.00 per hour, varying by work location, shift, and factors such as job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The role includes a competitive benefits program covering health, retirement, and paid time off.
