- Perform vendor accounting and accounts payable tasks in accordance with OSHA/MSHA and H&K safety policies
- Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with internal team members and vendors
- Coordinate vendor contracts, new vendor set‑up documentation, and maintain vendor information
- Prepare reports tracking vendor spend, payments, and related data
- Audit invoices against purchase orders, post invoices for payment, and balance monthly statements
- Assist with monthly and annual closing and provide daily payment information
- Communicate with vendors and support special projects as needed

- Required: High school diploma or GED (or three months related training/experience) and proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, and accounting software
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to manage multiple priorities, accurate recordkeeping, strong data analysis and ethical judgment
- Preferred: Associate degree in accounting or business; negotiating and networking experience; accounts payable experience in heavy civil or road construction
- Physical demands: regular use of hands, reaching, talking/hearing, frequent sitting; occasional standing, walking, stooping, lifting up to 15 lb
