The Line Operator is responsible for daily production line activities such as housekeeping, safety, quality control, and maintaining production efficiencies. The role includes equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and minimizing downtime, with a requirement to work 40+ hours per week, weekends, and varying shifts for equipment changeovers.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to operate heavy machinery safely. Analytical thinking, strong reading and writing abilities, and self‑motivation are also required, while prior extrusion or manufacturing experience is preferred. The position demands physical labor involving full‑range body motion, standing and mobility throughout a 12‑hour shift, and the capability to handle finished goods.
ADS offers both 8‑hour and 12‑hour shift options with flexible scheduling, including next‑day start availability. The 12‑hour shift provides added work‑life balance through more days off, higher take‑home pay from guaranteed overtime, and personal savings from fewer commuting trips. Employees can choose the schedule that best fits their lifestyle.
ADS provides a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, and paid holidays and vacation days. Additional health and welfare programs feature a high‑deductible health plan with HSA, telemedicine, employee assistance, and voluntary accident and critical illness coverage. Financial benefits include a stock purchase plan, disability insurance, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and adoption assistance, all 100 % paid by ADS.
