Transportation Maintainer 3's with skilled welding experience may apply as an underfill; however, MUST obtain a welding certification within 6 months.
First shift (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
Prior to being eligible for interview, applicants must have harness and fall protection training, a respirator physical, a current respirator fit test, and be in compliance with the Department's Respirator Policy.
Incumbents in this class must have adequate physical strength, stamina, physical agility and visual and auditory acuity, and must maintain such physical fitness as to be able to perform the duties.

Candidates selected for this position will be required to be trained and have the ability to wear PRPA (air-supplied respirator).
Candidates must possess a valid State Welding Certification (3G & 4G unlimited) in order to be considered.
A physical examination may be required.
Candidates must be in compliance with the Department's Lead Health and Safety and Silica Safety Programs (respirator physical, a current respirator fit test).
Incumbents in this class are exposed to extremes of weather conditions, to frequent lifting of heavy weights, to highly dangerous road and traffic conditions, including exposure to heights when working on bridges, to poison ivy, insect bites and allergy irritants during summer months, and to loud and potentially dangerous machinery.
Incumbents in this class must be willing to accept emergency overtime duties, including snow and ice removal, whenever their services are needed; mandatory winter overtime from November 1 through April 30.
Candidates will be required to bring a copy of their Master Application at the time of interview.
