Technical Director - Fire Engineering

Description

• Supporting the team in developing technical knowledge.
• Reviewing and authorising work done by others.
• Developing Fire Safety Strategies during Design and Construction stages.
• Overseeing and managing projects from inception to completion.
• Preparing technical engineering analysis using relevant guidance documents and methods i.e. prescriptive and performance based.
• Preparing fee proposals.
• Attending internal and external meetings.
• Carrying out site visits when required.
• Liaising with clients on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Excellent consultancy, communication and relationship management skills.
• Full membership with the IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers) and working towards or have achieved chartership status via IFE.
• Experience of delivering across a multi-site organisation.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Fire Engineering.
• Experience working in a similar role with extensive experience in fire safety engineering.
• Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions
• A proven background in fire safety engineering with an excellent understanding of fire engineered solutions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt your style to suit difference audiences.
