Reporting to the Parts Supervisor, the Parts Interpreter will join our Geraldton branch on a full‑time basis. The role is accountable for receiving customer orders for Caterpillar parts and handling general enquiries via phone and email, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to maintain customer loyalty. The position follows a 5/2, 5.5/1.5 roster and is based in Geraldton, WA as a residential role.
The primary focus is delivering high‑quality customer service with a positive, can‑do attitude, strong attention to detail, and strict compliance. The interpreter will work closely with internal teams such as the workshop, field service, marine, earthmoving and construction sectors, providing support throughout the parts fulfilment process.
In addition to interpreting part requirements, the successful applicant may be required to manage stock levels, perform shipping and receiving, engage in warehouse activities, handle inventory tasks, core processing and hose building, with training provided. The role offers the opportunity to work in the Parts Warehouse and gain broader knowledge of the entire parts department.
Candidates should have previous experience in parts interpretation or store roles within the automotive or machinery industry, along with excellent customer service skills across face‑to‑face, phone and email interactions. High accuracy, strong organisational and multitasking abilities, advanced computer literacy across multiple platforms, and effective communication and problem‑solving skills are essential.
