Overview

Licensed civil engineer overseeing land development design, permitting, and construction.

Tasks

-Review of documents prepared by others and implementation of project quality control. -Research, interpretation and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements. -Periodic travel to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation. Duty includes preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits. -Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details and construction documents. -Oversight of project design team including engineers, designers, consultants and clients. -Oversight and assistance with compiling construction plans from all disciplines and submittal to agencies having jurisdiction. -Oversight and mentoring project Engineers, Designers and Technicians. -Development, implementation and utilization of CPH and client standards and templates. -Preparation of specifications, review of shop drawings, and construction administration support as Engineer of Record. -Collaboration with other firm engineers, architects, disciplines, project managers, and business development teams.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. -Stormwater management, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection system design experience. -Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. -Superior social, communication, written, and organizational skills. -Fulfilling requirements as Engineer of Record for the design, permitting and construction administration of projects. -Ability to consistently exercise good independent judgement in the evaluation and determination of design solutions. -Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets. -Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record. -B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a P.E. License in the state of Florida. The ability to obtain additional state licensure through reciprocity is a plus. -Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, reliable, and self-motivated. -Thorough understanding of project process from concept through construction. -Effective in providing instruction, teaching, and mentoring in a positive and constructive manner. -5+ years of US experience in design and permitting public or private projects.
