Millwright

Description

The Millwright will work from technical drawings to support the installation, alignment, and maintenance of industrial equipment on job sites. The role contributes to continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.

• Fabricate, fit, and install pipe insulation on site.
• Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings.
• Level and align pump bases, compressors, turbines, paper machines, and centrifuges.
• Conduct pump repair, maintenance, and set impeller clearance.
• Adjust fan blade angles and align motors to gearboxes.
• Perform precision measurements for equipment fits.
• Apply reverse alignment techniques where required.
• Work with various metals, bearings, mechanical and tandem seals, compression packing, and multi‑stage or vertical pumps.
• Service drive couplings, cooling‑tower fan units, gearboxes, agitators, gas and steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocal compressors.
• Utilize machine‑shop tools, hydraulic reading, and IRD reading equipment.

Requirements

Applicants must have at least four years of industrial construction or maintenance experience and hold NCCER Certified Plus certification. They should have a solid foundation in working with industrial equipment and components.

The position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, stooping, lifting, and repetitive motions, with reasonable accommodations provided when needed.
