The Role

Overview

Provide tenancy management services to residents across Victoria, supporting sustainable housing.

Tasks

-Work with residents to resolve neighbourhood or tenancy concerns -Manage end-of-tenancy processes, including bond disbursement and debt recovery -Conduct routine, ingoing and outgoing property inspections -Keep up to date with legislation, regulations and program requirements -Manage rent collection, arrears and tenancy debts -Manage tenancies in line with the Residential Tenancy Act and program requirements, including SDA legislation -Use reporting tools to monitor accuracy, compliance and performance -Maintain accurate and complete records in the tenancy management system -Identify tenancy risks early and work with internal teams to support sustainment -Represent Housing Choices at Tribunals or Court as required -Build effective relationships with support providers, referral agencies and government stakeholders -Deliver quality tenancy management through clear, timely and respectful communication -Provide advice about tenant rights and responsibilities

What You Bring

-Willingness to undertake other required employment screening -Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records -Strong communication and relationship-building skills -Experience managing a tenancy portfolio (community, public or private housing) -Confidence working with vulnerable or disadvantaged communities -A current driver’s licence or ability to use public transport -Experience supporting residents through complex or challenging issues -Understanding of housing legislation or willingness to learn -Skills in Microsoft Office and report writing
