Description

The role supports customers by processing plumbing, heating, and HVAC product orders while upholding the highest standards of internal and external service and safety.

Daily duties include locating and retrieving items, handling defective parts and warranties, processing returns and credits, answering phones, maintaining current product catalogs, and keeping the work area clean and professional. The associate also assists warehouse staff and safely operates equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

• Proactively assist customers with product inquiries and orders
• Locate and retrieve ordered plumbing, heating, and HVAC items
• Manage defective parts and warranty documentation
• Process approved credits for returned products
• Answer product, pricing, and availability questions
• Keep product catalogs current and discard expired versions
• Safely move products of varying weights per customer needs
• Handle telephone calls in a professional and pleasant manner
• Accurately enter and fulfill customer orders
• Read and verify numbers to ensure correct order filling and material receipt
• Support warehouse personnel when needed
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material‑handling equipment safely
• Stay informed on all safety practices and standards

Requirements

Preferred qualifications include prior counter‑sales experience and familiarity with plumbing, heating, and HVAC regulations. Candidates should be result‑driven, customer‑focused, and possess at least a high school diploma or GED.

The job requires regular standing, sitting, speaking, and computer use, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally and up to 30 lb frequently. Compensation ranges from $20 to $25 per hour.
