The Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage a full portfolio of homeowners‑association accounts in partnership with a community relationship manager. This full‑time, non‑exempt role works Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm at the San Ramon office, with a salary range of $22‑$25 per hour and potential conversion to a hybrid schedule after training.
- Prepare and process monthly homeowner billings according to approved budgets.
- Respond to inbound calls, emails, and accounting‑software inquiries about billing, fees, and payment status.
- Assess and apply late fees and finance charges per collection policies.
- Process bank returns, including returned checks and rejected electronic payments, and make appropriate adjustments.
- Manage delinquent accounts, send homeowner correspondence, and coordinate with third‑party collection agencies.
- Reconcile miscellaneous cash receipts and allocate funds to association or homeowner accounts.
- Collaborate with Community Managers to resolve Board member inquiries on accounts and finances.
- Update homeowner records after escrow closures, handling ownership transfers and account setups.
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and governing documents.

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer‑service mindset. Candidates should have three to four years of accounting experience, a high school diploma (BS in Accounting preferred), and proficiency with MS Office, Teams, Adobe, Outlook, and Excel. Excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to multitask are essential, and fluency in languages beyond English is a plus.
