Description

• Lead small‑to‑medium estimates and review bid documents.
• Analyze contracts and specifications to define project scope.
• Perform quantity take‑offs for labor, equipment, and materials.
• Populate tender forms, generate RFIs, and support the pursuit schedule.
• Identify project risks and opportunities related to site, schedule, and market.
• Organize and archive bid documents for smooth hand‑off to the project team.
• Assist with bid‑day activities and collaborate with fellow estimators.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, subtrade partners, and suppliers.
• Obtain competitive pricing from subtrade partners and suppliers.
• Develop critical‑path schedules for estimates or pursuits.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent trade experience.
• Understanding of construction cost estimating processes.
• Familiarity with specifications, drawings, materials, methods, and procedures.
• Knowledge of bid preparation, including quantity takeoff and pricing.
• Insight into various delivery methods (hard bid, GMP, unit price, design‑build, etc.).
• Awareness of compensation models, market conditions, and industry trends.
• Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Proficiency with estimating software and advanced Microsoft Office skills; quick to adopt new technology.
