- Collaborate with design teams, clients and delivery teams to ensure alignment across all project phases.
- Support bid strategy development and contribute to “point of difference” tender approaches.
- Lead the preparation of detailed and competitive tender estimates, budgets, cost plans and take-offs.
- Finalise subcontractor and supplier tender lists, RFQs and quotation vetting.
- Identify and manage cost-specific risks, opportunities and value management strategies.
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities and cost plans from both internal and external sources.
- Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
- Provide cost advice and feasibility support to internal stakeholders and clients.

- Proficiency in estimating software such as CostX, Buildsoft, and Microsoft Excel, as well as Aconex & EstimateOne.
- Exceptional communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in estimating or quantity surveying within the local construction market.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and market conditions.
- Proven ability to ‘think outside the box' and deliver results in high-pressure environments and work both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Engineering (TAFE Diploma in Building or similar also considered).
