  • Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
  • Running SCAP Scans, applying STIGs and other cybersecurity methodologies
  • Configure, upgrade or patch operating systems as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
  • Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection, malware protection software and other processes
  • Manage the configuration and operation of RedHat and Solaris servers
  • Upgrade, troubleshoot and replace components in servers class systems
  • Respond to and resolve help desk requests via Remedy
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and operating systems issues

  • Associate or higher degree from accredited college with major in IT, engineering, science or mathematics
  • 2+ years’ experience in RedHat system administration
  • Experience with creating, troubleshooting and maintaining virtual machines with VMware

  • Working knowledge configuring and using Ansible and Satellite
  • Current RedHat Certified System Administrator
  • Current CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues
