Manage project billing, invoices, budgets, and financial reporting using Deltek.

Tasks
-Prepare special project analyses for the Sector Leads, PMs and Billing Management -Compile information for internal and external audits, as required -Work with accounts receivables team members regarding unpaid project billings -Work with the cash receipts team members to reconcile variances that occur in the application of cash -Write off any uncollectible receivables, labour or expenses, as directed by the appropriate person -Effectively communicate with Project Managers and Sector Leads, regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing -Carry out Progress Project Reports -Assess and pursue opportunities for maximization of client billing; communicate with the parties involved as to your observations and actions taken -Prepare final invoice package containing draft and final invoices for all billable projects, including all applicable backup -Mail final invoices, file client invoice copies and backup documents in the billing folder -Maintain the billing folders for all projects, with all the appropriate documents; contracts, change orders and monthly invoices, in accordance with standard processes and procedures -Set up projects in Deltek and maintain budgets and backlogs throughout the life of the project -Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management -Communicate and coordinate with the local offices -Research any unbilled issues to optimize the billing possibilities for the billing period -Provide the accounts payable team members with advice on client billing, relative to consultant invoicing and reimbursable expenses. It is expected that the Biller maintain a continuous line of communication to clear any open issues

What You Bring
-Working knowledge of Deltek Vision software is a definite asset. -University degree in accounting or a related field -Minimum 3-5 years of Accounting (AP/AR/Billing) knowledge -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer applications -Understands revenue recognition -Enrolled in CPA program is an asset -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Experience working in a fast-paced office and deadline oriented -Self-motivated with independent work habits -High attention to detail and accuracy
