As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you’ll lead and deliver Wastewater and Water design packages across diverse sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and public infrastructure.
- Management of relationships with key clients and contacts across the business including client liaison and development
- Management of the day-to-day work of the team.
- Management of engineering outsource partners
- Estimating, pricing and delivering against work targets.
- Monitors and manages compliance and KPI’s
- Management of projects within time, cost and quality constraints and standards
- Champions and promotes professional advice, guidance and support across the business

- Demonstrate knowledge of all relevant standards, regulations and codes of practice
- Experience, or a strong understanding of construction, procurement, and commissioning.
- Demonstrate level of competence in mechanical and instrumentation design in the water / wastewater industry environment
- An experienced manager of people and teams, developing others, and managing staff welfare
- Experienced in the installation, commissioning and proving of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) systems.
- Experience of Water, Wastewater and Sludge Treatment Centres.
- Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and adjust as issues arise during the project life cycle
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a similar role in the water and wastewater industry.
- Demonstrate a level of competence in practical mechanical installation experience in the water / wastewater industry environment.
- A good understanding of modular build construction processes and procedures.
- Member of a relevant professional body e.g. IMechE, CIWEM
- Extensive site experience of water and recycling operations
