When issues arise or opportunities emerge, the consultant conducts targeted analysis of financial, operational and workforce data, identifies root causes and delivers practical recommendations. Working closely with senior leaders, the role shapes executive communications, drives business improvements and delivers measurable outcomes with a focus on pace and execution.
- Develop high-impact executive presentations and decision‑making packs.
- Facilitate strategic planning workshops and contribute to board papers and business cases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine enterprise project, program and portfolio management frameworks.
- Identify, manage, and deliver functional improvement projects within Engineering and Design.
- Conduct regular data‑driven analysis of functional performance to uncover risks and opportunities.
- Design and implement KPIs, monitoring systems and reporting frameworks aligned with organisational strategy.
- Identify performance benchmarks by networking with leading utilities worldwide.
- Provide timely and insightful reporting of research findings and business intelligence.
- Serve as a liaison for triaging operational queries, enabling leadership focus on strategic initiatives.
- Partner with senior leaders to align work allocation and commercial activities with priorities.
- Share technical knowledge and mentor the leadership team to build internal capability.
- Enhance the corporate reputation of Engineering & Design through quality outcomes and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise and advanced analytical support, including gap analysis and strategic advisory.
- Translate business strategy into defined initiatives with clear success criteria and performance measurement.
- Develop own capabilities through assessment, training, coaching and professional accreditation.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, Finance or a related discipline and has broad expertise in strategy, business transformation and operations. They possess exceptional analytical and storytelling skills, strong PowerPoint capability, proven risk-management abilities and extensive stakeholder‑engagement experience.
