In this role you will ensure operational excellence of building systems such as HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, automation, and the building envelope, while maintaining interior and exterior spaces. You will work independently with minimal supervision and coordinate with contractors, occupants, and JLL teams to meet performance and safety standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot basic plumbing and electrical issues, completing self‑performed repairs.
- Identify energy‑saving opportunities and optimize building system performance.
- Manage and close work orders using the CMMS platform.
- Repair and maintain interior/exterior elements such as walls, flooring, roofing, lighting, and fixtures.
- Communicate daily with teams, contractors, occupants, and clients via in‑person, phone, or email.
- Assist other trades with general building and grounds maintenance.
- Perform hands‑on maintenance of commercial HVAC components, pumps, motors, air handlers, automation, and related electrical equipment in compliance with codes.

Candidates must have at least two years of building engineering experience, a solid understanding of MEP/HVAC design, and a Universal EPA 608 certification. A high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and proven hands‑on skills with commercial HVAC components and related electrical equipment are required; strong communication and relationship‑building abilities are also essential. Experience in museum or historic facilities is considered a plus.
- Hold Universal EPA 608 certification and comprehensive knowledge of MEP/HVAC design.
- Demonstrate at least two years of building engineering experience with a specialized craft (e.g., packaged HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment repair).
- Possess a high school diploma/GED and a valid state driver’s license.
- Proficient in CMMS, Microsoft Office, web‑based applications, and handheld devices (tablet, laptop, phone).
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, self‑starter attitude, and positive demeanor when managing relationships with teammates, contractors, occupants, and clients.
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken English; museum or historic facility experience is advantageous.
