Travel to supplier locations to inspect product quality processes and conduct quality reviews.
Work with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported, and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented.
Utilize problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non‐conformances.
Suppliers change control compliance with engineering standard.
Manage implementation of product and service specification changes.
Product and service compliance to specifications and standards.
Assist Engineering, Quality and SCM in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials.
Establish, maintain, and update critical supplier audit system and schedule.
Liaise with Engineering, Quality and SCM on quality related matters to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply.
Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects.
Facilitate communication and interpretation of engineering and manufacturing specifications with supplier technical teams.
Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
Development and maintenance of a Supplier Quality System.
Perform supplier pre-approval audits.
Supplier development and tracking of Quarterly Scorecards for the Preferred Supplier List.
Monitor supplier compliance with the Supplier Quality System.
Develop long‐term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction ideas.
