Your primary responsibility is to support and aid the Property Manager in the day‑to‑day operations of the apartment community by providing leadership, motivation, and consistent direction to the on‑site staff. You will also coordinate employee responsibilities, act in the Property Manager’s absence, and assist with hiring, training, and supervising leasing staff.
You will prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial and leasing reports, handle rental payment collection, posting and depositing, and manage vendor and payable files, ensuring required documentation is obtained. Resident relations include assisting with concerns, approving applications, maintaining communication, touring prospects, leasing apartments, and issuing required notices and collection letters. Weekly property walks, appearance maintenance, market condition monitoring, quality control and other duties as assigned complete the role.
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Property Manager to help lead our team at Kielo at Grass Valley Apartment Homes.
Candidates must have at least one year of property management experience, preferably as an Assistant Property Manager, and demonstrate sales, clerical, supervisory, human relations and bookkeeping skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong telephone and communication abilities, the capacity to walk stairs, lift up to 25 pounds, and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance are required. This is a 40‑hour workweek position offering opportunities for longevity and growth.

We embrace opportunities for personal and professional growth, and encourage our employees to share their unique skills, local knowledge, and professional expertise. Our team is the single most important ingredient to our success, and we seek to foster a work environment as welcoming as our apartment communities.
The position offers starting compensation of $23‑$26 an hour, leasing/renewal commissions, a 30% rent discount, and at least 10 days of paid time off in the first year.
