Beantown Home Services, Inc. in South Shore, MA is seeking an experienced Master Plumber to serve as the sole Master of Record and lead the plumbing division. This senior‑level leadership role carries full authority over plumbing operations, permitting, and code compliance, and reports directly to the owner. The position is primarily administrative and oversight‑focused, with selective field visits for quality control and team support, offering a transition from full‑time field work to long‑term leadership.
The role is ideal for a seasoned Master Plumber who wants to lead, manage, and oversee rather than spend every day turning wrenches. The Master Plumber/Master of Record will have full authority over plumbing operations, technical standards, and code compliance, while providing selective field oversight and site visits to support quality control, inspections, and team development. Reporting directly to the owner, the position effectively runs the plumbing division.
Success in this role is measured by jobs passing inspection the first time, consistent clean and code‑compliant plumbing work, and field plumbers who are supported, trained, and productive. Minimal callbacks and compliance issues, as well as a smoothly operating and professional plumbing division, indicate strong performance.
Candidates must hold an active Massachusetts Master Plumber license and preferably have experience serving as a Master of Record. A strong working knowledge of MA plumbing codes, proven leadership and team‑management abilities, and comfort in an administrative, oversight‑focused role are required. Professional communication with homeowners, staff, and inspectors, a valid driver’s license, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail are also essential; experience with service or field‑management software is a plus.
The compensation package includes a salary of $120,000–$150,000 based on experience, a per‑permit bonus structure, and performance bonuses tied to department results. Benefits feature health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with a 3% company match, two weeks paid vacation, one week paid sick time, seven paid holidays, and paid continuing education and license renewals. Additional perks include a take‑home company vehicle with a gas card, a company‑provided iPhone and laptop, and a supportive ownership team offering long‑term growth opportunities.
As one of the reliable heating and air conditioning contractors, Beantown AC offers services including HVAC repair, maintenance, installation and servicing.
