Creates or optimizes test protocols for testing equipment to measure performance to product specification and support product development and discovery.
Participate in formal risk analysis and guide development and test of components and systems.
Support prototyping of new products with regards to machining, fabrication, and 3D printing.
Investigate and recommend test equipment needs and participate in purchasing and implementation of new and upgraded equipment.
Consults with engineering regarding testing procedures and methods to ensure robust techniques and review all test results as required.
Design, develop and execute test protocols relating to industry standards and building codes.
Assists in the shipping and receiving of lab deliveries.
Participate in the design, build and maintenance of test system used in the engineering labs.
Create purchase requisitions for lab equipment and consumables.
Work with Engineering in the development of product validation methods, plans and processes.
Participate in the competitive product evaluation process.
Support activities to drive preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration of equipment.
Actively tracks status of lab reports and lab improvements.
