This position provides essential administrative processes and technical expertise to support the Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects, applying standard engineering techniques to a medium set of moderately difficult assignments.
- Develop and review project specifications and design criteria.
- Perform and verify engineering calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderate to complex engineering problems.
- Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance and resolve discrepancies.
- Conduct material take‑offs and effort estimations for proposals.
- Apply expert knowledge in hydrologic analysis, hydraulic design, geotechnical investigations, and topographical surveying.
- Utilize civil engineering software such as Sanitary & Storm Analysis, InfoDrainage, or other hydraulic analysis tools.
- Lead and manage medium‑size projects independently, including grading, bulk earthwork, heavy haul and access road alignments.
- Design underground utilities such as stormwater and sanitary systems.
- Coordinate with the civil team’s home office to resolve interface queries promptly.
- Communicate effectively with management, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed, time‑conscious work habits and adhere to industry standards and project requirements.

Candidates must hold an accredited four‑year engineering degree (or global equivalent) and have extensive civil and underground drainage experience, professional certification where required, and expertise in hydrologic analysis, hydraulic design, geotechnical investigations, and topographical surveying.
- Hold an accredited 4‑year engineering degree (or equivalent) with 7–20 years of civil/underground drainage experience and relevant professional certification.
- Possess intermediate computer skills (word processing, email, spreadsheets, presentations) and practical field experience.
- Professional registration and membership in a technical society (preferred).
