Communicates with manufacturing engineering, production, inventory control, purchasing and production control planning to ensure implementation of engineering changes.
Updates production routings of component parts and sub-assemblies.
Supports lean manufacturing initiatives, manufacturing engineering and production engineering.
Provides new design and contract support, and bids and sales release customer requests.
Conduct process observations and assists with resolution of MRP processing errors.
Participate in SWAT meetings and actions open STAW issues as required.
Creates production routings with estimated labor times for fabricated parts, assemblies, and installations.
Calculates raw material usage for new fabricated parts.

Up to 10% of travel is required in this position.
Post-secondary degree in engineering or technology with previous manufacturing process planning experience.
Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary manufacturing processes is required, including metal fabrication, welding, assembly work and painting.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Oracle and MRP processes is required.
Working knowledge of Oracle would be considered an asset.
APICS or CPIM certification would be considered an asset.
Professional team player with strong interpersonal/communications skills with the ability to analyze data and problem solve while functioning in a fast-paced environment.
