We are not architects who do healthcare. We are healthcare architects.
The Business Development Lead is a strategic, motivated leader who strengthens Array’s market position by cultivating relationships, shaping pursuit strategy, and translating client needs into opportunities across the firm. This high‑visibility role partners closely with Array’s Executive Team, Regional Vice Presidents, Practice Area Leaders, and Marketing to drive conversations, align subject‑matter experts, and connect firm capabilities to client goals.
In the strategic business development arena, the Lead serves as a trusted advisor to firm and regional leadership, blending market intelligence, client insight, and competitive positioning into Array’s growth strategy. They facilitate client and prospect conversations to identify needs, uncover opportunities, and articulate Array’s relevance, while developing new and strengthening existing BD strategies rooted in healthcare market awareness.
The Lead manages pursuit leadership and pipeline activities by running weekly Go/No‑Go meetings to mature opportunity narratives, maintaining accurate insight‑driven data in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and partnering with Marketing on proposal strategy, messaging, and differentiators. They also manage priority pursuits and conduct competitive assessments to inform strategy.
Collaboration with the Director of Creative Support Services ensures BD and Marketing operate as a unified, market‑informed engine; the Lead shapes marketing strategy and informs the MarCom calendar using insights from BD activity, client conversations, and pipeline trends to keep marketing efforts targeted and proactive.
Internal leadership responsibilities include orchestrating practice leaders and regional vice presidents to extract SME insights for compelling pursuit stories, facilitating monthly Regional BD Huddles to set priorities, and preparing co‑delivered updates for leadership huddles and staff meetings that cover sales metrics, wins/losses, pipelines, and key relationship priorities.
The Lead also oversees event strategy and philanthropy management, handling the philanthropic budget, sponsorships, ROI tracking, and planning for major conferences—including attendee strategy, logistics, and post‑event debriefs—to ensure events reinforce Array’s market presence and growth priorities.
Qualifications require 10+ years of business development, marketing, or strategic client management experience in the AEC, healthcare, or professional services sectors, demonstrated leadership in BD and marketing strategy, strong communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to translate insights into actionable opportunities. The candidate must be a strategic thinker, storyteller, data‑driven decision‑maker, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Our devotion to a healthcare-exclusive practice springs from our belief in the power of design to improve patient outcomes, maximize operational efficiencies, increase staff satisfaction and provide remarkable results for our clients. Our unique project delivery approach transcends conventional design services and focuses on sustainable solutions for today’s evolving healthcare environment. We at Array begin each project by establishing a thorough understanding of our client’s particular needs and goals. Only then can we begin to generate informed, real-world possibilities reinforced by our wealth of experience, insight and proven methods. What differentiates Array? There’s a degree of compassion, empathy and sensitivity that goes into every project that we touch. It’s designing a nurse station with sight lines to every patient. It’s building a Behavioral Health facility without corners, so that patients are safe. It’s translating the operational needs through the technical details to fine tune the lighting system in a neonatal unit so caregivers can match the lighting to each baby’s stage of development. It is a deeper understanding, honed through relationships spanning decades. That’s what sets us apart. array-advisors.com #Solutions array-analytics.io #Pivotal Twitter: @ArrayArch Pinterest: http://pinterest.com/arrayarch/ Issuu: http://issuu.com/arrayarchitects
