Remain engaged with the project and Operations Team throughout the life of awarded projects.
Participate in preconstruction efforts for design-build or other alternative delivery projects.
Review opportunity pursuits and develop a preliminary budget estimate and itemized summary for go/no-go evaluation.
For awarded projects, communicate all estimate information to the Operations Team to ensure a thorough understanding of all assumptions, scope, risk, and strategies.
Provide creative and innovative thinking to analyze and develop strategy and value engineering solutions.
Review, analyze, and interpret contract documents for a complete understanding of the work and owner deliverables to provide accurate, detailed cost estimates.
Present complete and accurate estimates to Executive Management for review and to ensure confidence in decision-making.
Perform all final bid close functions as required.
Work with scheduling staff and Operations to develop accurate and precise bid schedules
Develop business relationships within the regional marketplace.
Review quantity takeoff comparisons to provide an evaluation for accuracy and acceptance

Currently seeking professionals who have experience with estimating Heavy Civil Construction projects that involve any of the following: Earthwork, Underground Utilities, Paving & Grading, and/or Concrete/Structures.

This position requires estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience. The ideal Estimator will be familiar with estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, and cost control systems. Must have the ability to prepare complex proposals with minimal supervision.

Estimator – Heavy Civil Construction

Proven experience in estimating, cost control, and/or engineering
Broad knowledge and understanding of civil construction and methods, including grading and earthwork, drainage, paving, etc.
Advanced understanding of the project life cycle, including bid, proposal, and estimation processes, and project management.
Ability to estimate all types of projects/contracts (e.g., Design Build, CMAR, Design-Bid-Build, etc.)
Company representation at pre-bids and site visits
Project Engineers with 3+ years of experience are welcome to apply
BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience
Experience in Heavy Highway & Heavy Civil construction
