What you would be doing

- Coordinate direct reports and contractors for required inspections at vendor sites.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to resolve quality issues.
- Conduct and oversee visual inspections of welds and dimensional checks on pressure vessels and structural skids at vendor sites.
- Review and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ).
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior inspectors and vendor personnel.
- Supervise, coordinate and perform outsourced inspection activities at vendor facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Interpret and apply ASME Section VIII, AWS D1.1, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of inspection results, including Inspection reports, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Travel to vendor sites within and outside the city as required to perform inspections and audits.

- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Familiarity with NDE methods (e.g., RT, UT, PT, MT).
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
- Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, AWS D1.1, B31.3 and related fabrication codes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) by AWS or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proficient in dimensional inspection tools and techniques.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in welding inspection and fabrication quality control.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with pressure vessel fabrication and modular skid construction.
