Description

The role supports skilled craft workers by performing assigned tasks across various trades as directed by project supervision. The employee must follow instructions from higher‑skilled workers or foremen.

The job involves wearing required personal protective equipment, frequent reaching, bending, climbing, and handling objects up to 50 lb, often in confined or uneven spaces. Shifts may extend up to 12 hours in varying weather, and all tasks are safety‑sensitive, requiring adherence to safety standards and procedures.

• Identify and eliminate waste such as waiting time, rework, and inefficient material handling.
• Seek supervisor guidance when unsure about work aspects or safety practices.
• Learn and recognize all safety hazards associated with the job.
• Safely operate and use work‑related tools and equipment.
• Maintain positive relationships with crew members.
• Deliver high‑quality work safely and productively.
• Provide feedback to ensure availability of materials, tools, equipment, and information.
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend during tasks.
• Use phone, computer, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis for communication.
• Navigate confined, cluttered, and uneven work areas.

• Frequently grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects with hands.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.

Requirements

• Perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Hold NCCER Core Curriculum certification or a high school diploma/equivalent.
• Possess 1‑3 years of experience in industrial/commercial construction (Level I‑III preferred).
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., steel‑toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest).
• Frequently reach above shoulder height and below waist level.
• Work up to 12‑hour shifts performing hard physical labor in varied temperatures and outdoor conditions.
