As an assistant property manager you will support leasing oversight, maintenance oversight, administrative functions, and operational reporting for a sizable multifamily property. You will use property‑management software such as AMSI and Entrata to drive revenue, maintain competitive rental rates, ensure accurate record‑keeping, and collect rent each month.
Required skills include excellent verbal and written communication, integrity, respect, accountability, strong organization and time‑management, sales aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Candidates must have at least an associate degree or equivalent experience, two years of residential property‑management leasing or sales experience, one year supervising two or more employees, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license.
Physical requirements involve working in a general office setting, lifting items up to 10 lb, and moving around the property—standing, walking, and climbing stairs—in various weather conditions. The role is non‑exempt under FLSA.
The position is located in Manchester Lakes, Alexandria, VA 22315 and is a full‑time hourly assistant property manager role with a base salary of $24.00‑$26.00 per hour plus commission. The job requires a high school education level and involves negligible travel.
