Description

The ARS Project Manager position is responsible for marketing, estimating, project administration, planning, scheduling, and reporting for small to medium sized power‑limited construction and maintenance projects. Responsibilities include cultivating customer relationships, directing project teams to meet contractual commitments and compliance, and managing projects for economic efficiency while ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The role offers a dynamic, fast‑paced environment for professionals with strong communication skills who want to lead and make a lasting impact in electrical project management.

• Maintain existing and develop new customer relationships to secure future business.
• Direct and supervise technicians, general foremen, foremen and their crews in compliance with contracts, union agreements, and company policies.
• Manage assigned projects economically while ensuring customer satisfaction, quality workmanship, and a positive industry image.
• Prepare, process and maintain all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, and billing required for contract responsibilities.
• Direct project planning through purchasing, engineering, subletting, and installation.
• Assist the estimating team with accurate project estimates when necessary.
• Work closely with the estimating team during the preconstruction phase.
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
• Train, delegate, and coordinate work of Assistant Project Manager, Estimators, and other team members.
• Operate in a professional office environment using standard office equipment.
• Frequently sit and occasionally kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, or crawl as needed.
• Lift files, open cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3–5 years of experience as a project manager in the electrical/power‑limited industry.
• Understand design/build requirements and the scope of contract documents for electrical work.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in the electrical/power‑limited industry.
• Knowledge of business and management principles for strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, production methods, and coordination of manpower and resources.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally work on construction sites, requiring hard hat, work boots, high‑visibility vest, eye protection, and gloves.
• May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
