  • Help to support the onboarding of new joiners
  • Effectively managing commercial and contractual aspects of an engagement to achieve expected levels of quality, profitability, and to agreed deadlines

  • Managing the scope, preparation, delivery, reporting and evaluation for larger and higher risk projects and engagements
  • Reviewing junior team's works to ensure the work provided for senior review is the highest quality; identifying any development needs of the team and providing advanced knowledge, coaching, mentoring and stretch assignments to attract, develop and retain talent
  • Communicating risk and issues early to appropriate colleagues, suggesting solutions
  • Working on CPD to sustain professional status/ accreditation and developing and maintaining a portfolio of clients and professional networks by building and maintaining strategic relationships with senior stakeholders of existing or new clients
  • Meeting deadlines throughout the Amberside Advisors Performance Development Cycle, including appraisals, setting objectives, and managing underperformance where necessary
  • Start to take the lead on multiple projects or programmes through the management of a team with the contribution of cross divisional specialists

  • A first level university degree, 2:1 (or equivalent) or above is desirable but not compulsory
  • Passion for understanding the financial drivers for each project, combined with the intellectual and communication skills to help clients understand the impact of those drivers
  • The ability to work and communicate as part of a team, and in an effective manner
  • Experience in leading delivery of large-scale financial projects, including the designing and implementing of financial operating models
  • Confidence in using you own initiative and making decisions at pace
  • Able to apply research skills to solve new issues and make improvements
  • Skilled at coping well when under pressure from competing priorities and interruptions
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint
  • Exhibits role model behaviour in line with Amberside Advisors values
  • Practiced at communicating complex information in a clear and concise manner - verbally or in written form
  • Experience working as an effective team player and taking on a leadership role
  • Experience of working in a consulting role in financial services
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to translate this to an Excel model
  • Financial modelling, budgeting, business planning, forecasting and analysis experience
  • An accounting qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA) or similar
  • Typical experience may include, whilst not limited to:
