Description

• Receive field data collected, analyze local and wide area network systems, and develop the most cost-efficient fiber/copper network route design in accordance with customer specifications and guidelines
• Assist with as-built package completion and delivery, as well as billing closeout
• Follow up with our customer and provide a status of any and all assigned work
• Collaborate with any necessary vendor, as well as internal GIS and CAD teams, to produce all required documentation for application packages
• Coordinate with the project team for forecasting, scheduling, resource management, and quality assurance
• Work in tandem with various managers across the project to identify scope creep, manage change orders, and complete routine billing
• Ensures the integrity of the customer access network is maintained and provides support for the deployment of access technologies
• Review project deliverables for accuracy and apprise the project management team of risks, issues, and recommended mitigations

Requirements

• Knowledge of fiber optic and copper counts, fiber assignments, and splicing schematics in all OSP environments
• Read and understand road prints, utility maps, and as-builts to identify conflicts with existing facilities
• Knowledge of engineering tools, including Microstation, AutoCAD, ARAMIS, OCalc, 3-GIS, or any similar GIS/KMZ platforms
• Possess strong communication and people skills
• Sound OSP engineering experience deploying fiber optic and Copper networks - Knowledge of engineering principles within the OSP job-related functional area, including general practices, procedures, and industry standards
• Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Google Sheets, and Google Drive
• Strong language skills are required, both oral and written
• Proven ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels: from team members to executive management
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field is preferred, or Telecom, Engineering, or Drafting completed courses, and a diploma from a technical school or community college
