Determine staffing levels and assign workload
Secures warehouse and yard by turning alarms on; testing systems, monitoring cameras, enforcing policies.
Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
Keeps equipment operating well by enforcing proper operation, training and implementing suitable Operator level PM’s, Supply detailed information on service requirements to maintenance; Tracking equipment uptime.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Maintains accurate inventory by conducting physical cycle counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.
Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by developing and tracking key KPI’s relative to productivity, Inventory accuracy, customer complaints and the like.
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods / services.
Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
Orders consumable items in a manner that prevents stock outs without carrying excess inventory.
Confer and coordinate activities with other departments or external resources such as plowing, pest control, pallet supplier and the like.
Sets the tone and expectations for daily activities using strong leadership skills and proper utilization of shift group leaders. Works closely with customer service to align resources to demand.
Clearly communicate job expectations and coach employees. Take disciplinary actions as needed.
Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.

3+ years prior supervisor or leadership experience preferred
Must be able to work Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm with overtime based on business needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must be able to commute daily into our Garland, TX facility
Knowledge of warehouse WMS software packages, RF gun scanning and MS Office proficiency
Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
High School Diploma or GED required with some post-secondary education
SAP ERP system experience preferred
