Throughout the programme you will take part in real client projects, contributing to site inspections, research, reporting and contract administration. Your daily activities will vary by team, providing exposure to fit‑out contracts, dilapidation negotiations and maintenance planning.
- Conduct on‑site building surveys and inspections.
- Perform desktop research and analysis of property data.
- Prepare and deliver detailed post‑inspection reports.
- Act as Contract Administrator/Employer’s Agent on fit‑out and refurbishment projects.
- Negotiate dilapidation schedules and develop exit‑strategy repair plans.
- Assist in planning preventative maintenance programmes.
- Coordinate portfolio instructions and support other reasonable duties.
- Keep knowledge current on building regulations, sustainability standards and pathology.

The 12‑month Building Surveying placement is based in London and starts in July 2026. You will work alongside leading building surveying specialists and gain hands‑on experience that could lead to a graduate scheme interview.
Applicants must have GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above and be on track for a 2:1 degree in Building Surveying, including a placement year. Right‑to‑work in the UK without restrictions is required.
