Become an Energy Management System Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll engineer innovation providing technical expertise on Advanced Power System Analysis Applications in Grid Management Systems. You will contribute to SCE achieving Pathway 2045, working on implementing and maintaining Advanced Power System Applications to manage the grid of tomorrow. • Oversees software development and maintenance support for the grid applications as they relate to the operation and control of the electrical grid
• Designs, develops and maintains plans related to data integrity, system reliability, and consistency
• Develops and implements tools, processes and procedures that enhance system reliability and organizational efficiencies
• A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
• Develops and manages energy efficiency projects, integrating advanced technologies and renewable energy sources to reduce energy consumption
• Identifies, implements, and maintains key performance and process metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, procedures and applications
• Develops group performance expectations and goals that align with line of business and Company goals
• Facilitates grid application vendor software enhancements and leverages product capability, driving standardization, limiting customization, and maximizing reuse of content developed for previous solutions
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to promote energy-saving practices and ensure effective energy management throughout the organization
• Designs, administers and monitors grid application software configurations
• Manages the reliable, safe, and compliant operation and maintenance of the grid application system, and implements grid modernization capital and expense programs

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related STEM major.
• Seven or more years of experience in designing, building, implementing, maintaining, and supporting complex Utility, Realtime or Enterprise systems - OR - Seven or more years of experience as a user of a Utility grid application
• Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
• Strong communication, ethics, negotiation, teamwork and optimally hand multiple assignments at once.
• This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
• Experience in programming with C++, Java, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience performing power flow analysis.

• This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
• This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
