The Coordinator, Construction Services is responsible for managing and administering medium‑complexity construction, professional services and service contracts throughout the construction phase, ensuring they meet contractual requirements. The role involves daily discussions and negotiations with contractors, consultants and client‑partners regarding quality, contract interpretation, scope changes, progress claim reviews and other issues. It also addresses contract‑management risks within delegated authority and integrates activities with site teams and other service lines.
The position requires close coordination with client‑partner representatives to resolve contract‑related problems, negotiate and issue change orders, and keep comprehensive site activity records such as photos and reports. Effective relationships must be maintained across DCC, industry stakeholders and internal service lines, while upholding corporate and client quality standards and managing overall contract risk.
Candidates must hold at least a college diploma in engineering, applied science or a related field with four years of relevant experience; certification such as Certified Engineering Technologist is preferred. Required knowledge includes construction best practices, product and material specifics, project and risk management principles, and health and safety legislation. The role demands proficiency with relevant computer software, the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and the application of contract management techniques.
Work is performed primarily on construction sites where basic safety equipment is mandatory, with occasional office work and travel. The organization offers a competitive benefits package valued at 25‑30 % of salary, covering health, wellness, family, and retirement provisions, as well as flexible workplace options.
