The Associate Director‑level BIM/Digital role leads the BIM process at organisational, programme and project levels, covering discovery, client adoption strategy, execution planning, implementation, information management, supply‑chain coordination, compliance checking and data verification.
- Capture client requirements and develop a BIM strategy.
- Author BIM documentation and workflows aligned with best practice.
- Lead rollout and implementation of BIM across programmes and projects.
- Communicate BIM strategy, documentation and workflows to stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate digital risks.
- Lead digital transformation and strategy initiatives.
- Interface with clients, design teams and contractors on BIM methodologies.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops.
- Write detailed reports and peer‑review colleagues’ work.
- Support project deliverables and maintain BIM documentation and processes.
- Research emerging technologies and provide commission oversight.
- Lead and manage team members, acting as a role model for junior staff.
- Contribute to bid construction and develop new business opportunities.
- Identify and act on cross‑selling opportunities.
- Champion Turner & Townsend’s digital services as an ambassador.

Candidates should have a consultancy background with experience in design processes and procurement, a strong understanding of BIM standards (including ISO 19650 and international guidelines), and preferably a degree or equivalent experience. Proficiency in 3D modelling software (e.g., Revit, ArchiCAD), clash‑detection tools (e.g., Solibri, Navisworks), dashboard tools (Power BI, Tableau) and emerging BIM technologies is essential.
Personal attributes required include the ability to work independently, strong communication and presentation skills, experience leading meetings and workshops, a methodical problem‑solving approach, and an inquisitive nature that drives continuous learning and the confidence to challenge others.
- Consultancy experience with design processes and procurement routes.
- Strong knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650 and international).
- Degree‑level education or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in 3D modelling software (Revit, ArchiCAD) and clash‑detection tools (Solibri, Navisworks).
- Familiarity with dashboard software (Power BI, Tableau).
- Understanding of emerging BIM technology market.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
