Role Definition: Identifies key opportunities to research, develop, implement, and continuously improve the distribution and dealer coverage for the SEM brand. The goal is to maximize growth and customer reach through a distribution channel dedicated to SEM.
- Review and assess dealer coverage and representation at the country level, identifying gaps based on market opportunity and performance.
- Expand dealer coverage by onboarding new distributors and managing the process with partners such as legal and compliance.
- Distinguish Cat and SEM businesses in branding, sales, service teams, and overall market positioning.
- Apply process improvement tools to implement efficient distribution solutions that support dealer profitability and cash-to-cash cycles.
- Promote a strong safety culture and drive a zero‑incident mindset across all distribution activities.
- Build strong relationships with dealers and internal stakeholders to influence coverage strategy decisions.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and dealers, delivering actionable feedback and maintaining transparency.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement more efficient approaches to dealer coverage and distribution processes.
- Find new ways to reach customers through current and new business partners.
- Apply structured problem‑solving approaches to resolve coverage gaps and operational challenges.
- Develop systematic plans for dealer expansion and coverage improvement, demonstrating strong project management skills.
