Production-General Labor

Description

• Lifting: frequently -raising or lowering an object from one level to another.
• Operate forklift or bobcat as required to perform assigned duties.
• Kneeling: occasionally -bending the legs to come to rest on one or both knees.
• Responsible for following all plant and safety rules including all safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Balancing: regularly -maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling over.
• Stooping: occasionally -bending the body by bending spine at the waist.
• Assists with production and shipping department duties as required.
• Carrying: occasionally -transporting an object, usually by hand, arm, or shoulder.
• Empties trash receptacles throughout the facility.
• Maintains housekeeping in the facility.
• Performs cleaning duties both inside and outside the facility. These areas include but are not limited to plant restrooms, locker rooms, break areas, basement, production areas and plant offices.

Requirements

• Mathematical Skills: Simple-add, subtract, multiply, divide simple numbers.
• Crouching: occasionally -bending body downward and forward by bending legs.
• Reaching: frequently -extending the hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
• Feeling: regularly -perceiving attributes of objects by means of skin receptors.
• Near Acuity: ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
• General painting throughout facility.
• Depth Perception: ability to judge distance and space relationships.
• Fingering: regularly -picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers.
• Reading Skills: Simple – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Tools: Must be able to accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Must be able to work rotating shift schedule, holidays and overtime
• Hearing: regularly -perceiving the nature of sounds by the ear.
• Specialized Skills: Must be able to pass forklift operators rest and safely operate a forklift and bobcat.
• Field of Vision: ability to see peripherally.
• Handling: regularly -seizing, holding, grasping, or otherwise working with hand(s).
• Eye/Hand/Foot Coordination: regularly -performing work through using two or more.
• Communication: Ability to provide relevant and timely information in a clear manner to coworkers and supervision.
• Problem Solving: Ability to think through issues and develop solutions in a timely manner.
• Standing: regularly -remaining on one’s feet in an upright position.
• Extreme Cold: temperature cold enough to cause marked bodily discomfort.
• Team Building: Willing to work with others and utilize group dynamic to form solutions.
• Medium Work: occasionally - lifting of up to 75 lbs.
• Talking: regularly -expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words.
• Follow Through: Fulfills the requirements of the position as described. Ability to follow-through on completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner. Anticipates what needs to be done and proceeds without direction in a timely manner.
• Walking: regularly -moving about on foot.
• Color Vision: ability to distinguish and identify different colors.
• Wet: frequent contact with water or other liquids.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Language: Must be able to speak fluent English.
• Far Acuity: ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more.
• Noise: sufficient noise to cause distraction
• Accommodation: ability to adjust vision to bring objects into focus.
