Field Construction Coordinator Assistant - Electric

Description

• Maintain documentation for invoice approval and project reporting.
• Support QA/QC and program oversight functions, including paperwork tracking and scheduling.
• Review construction plans, work orders, and engineering drawings.
• Coordinate with contractor supervisors to ensure resource availability and proper project execution.
• Representing the company in contractor interactions, addressing on-site issues and supporting resolution of field challenges.
• Support compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Assist in monitoring contractor crews and conducting field inspections for electric transmission and distribution projects.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
• 5+ years’ experience in electric utility construction and maintenance (T&D systems, substations, underground networks).
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, MS Project); SAP experience is an asset.
• Available for emergency storm restoration support and extensive travel within the New York franchise area.
• Physically capable of walking distribution lines and ROWs.
• Familiarity with utility assets, inspection programs, and QA/QC processes.
