The Senior Capture Manager will serve as a capture lead within KBR’s business development organization, supporting federal civilian agencies such as DHS, ICE, DOJ, and DOT. The role involves leading large, prime, full and open opportunities and top pursuits across KBR, with a primary location in Fulton, MD, remote work possible, and 20‑40% travel to client sites.
- Own assigned capture opportunities and manage full business development lifecycle across multiple pursuits.
- Lead 2‑3 large ($100M+) federal solicitations, develop winning strategies, capture plans, and win themes.
- Qualify and assess “win‑ability” of new opportunities and build a pipeline of prospects.
- Conduct market insight meetings, competitive assessments, teaming, and price‑to‑win analyses.
- Coordinate solutioning sessions, black‑hat reviews, blue‑team workshops, and proposal development activities.
- Produce and submit white papers, RFI responses, and other capture artifacts following KBR best practices.
- Communicate capture status and milestones to senior management, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Drive profitable outcomes by managing indirect rates, LOE/BOE, and budget considerations.

- Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 12+ years total experience, including 10+ years industry and 6+ years business development.
- Demonstrated success winning single‑award contracts valued over $200M and large prime, non‑IDIQ contracts.
- Experience leading senior government and business stakeholders in capture and solution development.
- Strong knowledge of federal acquisition processes, opportunity qualification, and capture organization best practices.
- Ability to develop financial models, manage budgets, and understand corporate indirect rates.
- Proven leadership in building capture teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans.
Benefits
Basic compensation ranges from $175,800 to $263,700, determined by contract affordability, location, experience, and internal parity. Additional compensation may include bonuses, commissions, sign‑on or relocation incentives, and performance‑based payments.
